Student Convention on 25th March 2013 On 25th March 2013, the West Bengal State Committee has organized a Student Convention, protesting the undemocratic ruling of the State Government to stall the student union elections of colleges and universities for an indefinite period of time. This convention is also jointly organized by AISF, AISB and PSU State Committee. The convention will convene at H. L. Roy Memorial Hall in Jadavpur University. The speakers of this convention are, Mr. Anandadeb Mukhopadhyay, eminent leftist intellectual Mrs. Nandini Mukherjee, Professor, Jadavpur University and Comrade Ritabrata Bannerjee, General Secretary, SFI. The official website of the West Bengal State Committee of SFI will also be inaugurated from that program. On 2nd April 2013, regarding the same issue, the West Bengal State unit has decided to organize a protest rally and a law violation programme. The movement will commence from College Street at 12 noon and would target to give a deputation to the Governor in his residence. We are anticipating a huge gathering of students in support of the issue and movement.
